Today is the day!
We're trying to pull out from home, and each of us is finding it a little difficult. Our animals know something is up (they start acting nervous anytime they see us start packing the camper. We're leaving them in good hands; our neighbors Mike and Debbie will be taking are of them while we're gone.
I did do one thing to help us get over any homesickness. I installed a web camera in our house so we can go periodically and look to see that it's still there. As a side benefit, maybe we'll be able to catch that armadillo who has been digging up our yard.
If we had a camera outside we could catch him... Well, if that armadillo comes in our house, we'll be able to catch him red-handed!
Even though this blog is about our cross country trip in a camper, this will not be the major event of 2008. The most important event this year is the fact that our two older daughters (Joelle and Emily) both graduated from college and both got married! We are extremely proud of both of them, and we are especially happy that we now have two Godly men as our son in-laws (Silas and Robert).
Our goal for the first day was to reach Peducah, Kentucky. If we're all feeling good when we reach Peducah we may try to drive further.
